He speaks their language and beats from the same drum. Of course they will use whatever they can grab onto while reaching for straws.

Seek your spiritual guidance from the Heavenly Father and not from a mortal man from Argentina.

Pretty much this.

I find the current pope ( not capitalizing) an abomination regarding his views.

There have been many shitty popes. He is up at the top.

Forget him. He is fallable like all. Trust in YOUR faith, and all will be fine.

But this pope shakes the faith of those who have been catholic for 40-50 years

That won’t really suffice for those whose faith has genuinely been shaken by this heathen

Meh.

My faith was broken at 15, and then it was rewarded back to me at 18.

Pope had nothing to do with it.

You should believe in Jesus and not a man picked by other men to have such power. As a Catholic maybe you all should rise up and seek a new pope.

Accept Christ as your savior and not rely on some useless, pompous phony. Then spread the gospel of Christ to others.

And now you start a Religious thread

Who are you?

I think you should take this seriously, how does a person react to a pope saying it’s ok for a man to mount another man?

Not for me to understand. I don't do Catholic.

But if I was and there is a pope not acting properly on behalf of the vast majority, and is playing loose with the Catholic teachings because he wants to promote his social and political views, then I would become outspoken and not feel obligated in any manner supporting that pope.

The pope is one person.
I’m not a Catholic, but my suggestion to someone who happens to find himself at odds with anyone’s religious views would be to seek wisdom from other wise spiritual counselors and mentors.
