I went on "rackbuilder" and saw something interesting.

Apparently, there's now an Afghanistan COMMEMORATIVE and Iraqi Freedom COMMEMORATIVE medal. Are we authorized to have the commemorative and the campaign medals?

As an aside, I imagine yours looks more impressive than this when you take away the individual awards you earned:

Honestly, I don’t think you have what it takes to serve. You’ve proven that there will always be some distraction and excuse for you.

My wife and I got engaged before my second OIF deployment with the mindset that, if our relationship survived a deployment BEFORE we got married that it would last. It worked.

shouldn't have been fat. I been to a combat zone for 51 months total as a field artillery. 2 tours in Iraq and once to Afghanistan and currently in Kuwait. Tired of war and seeing people die.

We've been in proxy wars with both since 1950.

Here's a fun fact: Call of Duty (the original) was USMC-based. It wasn't until later sequels that they started "incorporating" other branches.

As a commander I was ordered to stop allowing my stations to host COD tournaments as recruiting events because USAAC was trying to push the failed "America's Army" FPS game.

I remember getting one of the biggest WTF looks from their Chief of Staff when I asked him, "Sir, why are we promoting a game in which the drill sergeants don't even have their nametapes on the correct breast pocket?"

Bro I wanted the ranger option why would I want that if I was worried about my knee? Can you read? They knew I didn’t want anything else. So they told me to lie so I go off knowing I’d probably blow my knee out in airborne and get caught anyways.

I met so many guys at Fort Benning Infantry training with past injuries who had Option 40 Ranger Contracts and 18 Xray Special Forces Recruit Contracts. you know the difference between them and you? They didn't make up silly excuses and kept driving on.

you need to listen to what I'm saying, you wouldn't have been accepted in the combat arms world. there are so many people who go AWOL because they can't handle waking up at 4 everyday to run 6 miles, going on long Ruck Marches that form permanent calluses under your feet. You go to the field for two weeks at a time and it is snowing, raining or super hot outside.

Your back is always hurting, your knees are in constant pain, your joints crack when you get up. The thing is you're still an 18 year old and you feel 35 when you wake up. This is just daily infantry stuff, in Ranger Battalion its cranked up to 1000 and many people get kicked out 2 weeks after getting there for Failure To Meet Standards.

Coulda, woulda, shoulda. Tiny Heart.

That sounds like me getting out of bed 18 months after retiring.

I had a former senior rater (previous CG of JRTC and Ft. Polk, David Doyle) tell me that I was the type of person that every organization desperately needs but that few want.
