I read the article and effectively this is all that Paul suggests. The rest of it sounds like he is saying something, but he is really not doing anything different than what every other legislator does - which is to recommend formation of a "committee" to examine or investigate a matter. There is no leadership here. Big effing deal.

I voted to support these clowns, but they had eight (8) years to get their opposition positions together. Now they must govern versus just object to everything as opposition/minority parties are prone to do. Harder to govern and an unorganized (R) party is finding this out.

Do you think you are too stupid to buy your own insurance?

no. my employer provided group health insurance cost 22k last year. my employer picked up 15k of that cost. it's excellent insurance. anthem bc/bs. even includes dental and vision.

why would i want to give that up?

because rand paul thinks if i'm paying the entire bill every ones cost of insurance will be magically cheaper?

no thanks, i'm not going to crazy town with you people.

So, with better options on the table, why did your boy Trump back Ryan's plan? And please don't try to tell me that he went with Ryan's crap plan to undermine Ryan's future.

Trump shite the bed just as bad as Ryan.

For the record, I am a liberal who likes Rand. I would have voted for him.

You dont think you could find a great insurance plan in a free market with 15k?

Rand couldn't give even less of a flying frick about Trump. All he cares about is staying completely pure to his beliefs and and never ever compromising them. It's admirable and respectable but not how the real world works.

There is no question Rand Paul is the leader of the Republican Party in Congress. He is also the most principled politician on both sides of the aisle. Rand wants the President to do well and was critical of Ryan because his plan sucked and couldn't pass. Guess what, Rand was right.
