Since the NRA has defended the 2nd Amendment throughout the years, could the Sons of Confederate Veterans and the United Daughters of the Confederacy be seen as serving in this role with regards to preserving Confederate history? They seem to be the only organized efforts that are doing this.

They don’t exactly have the political and financial clout that the NRA has.
Best thing to do is obtain private land for these monuments.
