I hear all these accolades about RBG opening so many doors for women and being such a trailblazer. Yet RBG walked in through a door already opened by Justice O’Connor who did it first and did it without becoming a political activist. She didn’t hang on to her power until her death bed. I know the answer, but why does Ruthie get all the credit for something she didn’t even start?

You just succinctly stated the reason the RBG worship makes me the most furious.

Women never get credit for being trailblazers, unless they are the “correct” kind of woman.

Ginsburg was really Larry Doby, but is instead forever hailed as Jackie Robinson.
