The CIA director, the direct of national intelligence, the national security agency, the WH chief of staff have ALL denied the nyt report that trump and pence were briefed on this intel. These are ON THE RECORD denials.
Yet you choose to believe an anonymous intel official?
Why are you doing that, after so many false and misleading leaks since 2017 about a whole slew of national security issues?

But a bunch of high level officials have given categorical ON THE RECORD denials that any such report was briefed to the president.
You don't think that is an important development?
You should have learned your lesson long ago that you simply cannot trust national security leaks in the trump era.

The point you seem to be missing is we may never know what is the truth and what is a lie when it comes to this type of leaked intel.
What we do know beyond a shadow of a doubt— at least those who don’t drink the purple kool-aid — is that our wholly corrupt national security apparatus would not hesitate to tripwire a hot war to facilitate their dark agenda.

Russians? Bounties?
In the late 60’s, Russians had their own barracks/living facilities in North Vietnam near POW camps that they set up for the NVA. They assisted with and independently conducted interrogations (with torture) of American military who had been captured. Mostly, it involved naval aviators or Air Force pilots. Many were tortured to death or more often, executed after they were broken and divulged whatever the communists thought was enough. . The Russians have been killing Americans since 1945 with and without the use of proxies. There was a raid by US forces on a North Vietnam prison camp at Son Tay in 1971. Unfortunately, the assault was betrayed by a US government traitor and immediately before the action, the prisoners were moved. The interesting thing was that after it was apparent that the POWs were gone, the special forces team went straight to the Russian hooches and killed as many as they could.
