I know more than a dozen people that think exactly like this guy, and constantly similar rhetoric, most of them teach at colleges, or have some type job related to music or art.

How would that even work? Just make shite up for them to do? Seems sort of unnecessary to the goal. IE, if all you want to do is give people who are worthless in the labor market money, you don't really need to give them a fake job to do it.
