I would offer nothing. Thune already offered a separate vote on the subsidies and schumer said no. It isn't a negotiation to just continue the same exact spending levels you already agreed to a few months ago.

Schumer has no position. The subsidies are set to expire by dumbocrat design and you get obamacare as implemented by these same knuckleheads. Why is that suddenly a problem?

This says he's up by 1 point since the start of the shutdown. Perhaps that's true, but RCP's aggregator has him at 52/45 disapprove/approve. Maybe he was 51/46 before?

Could he sign an executive order freezing pay to Congress along with the other federal workers?

I know most of them aren't dependent on that paycheck, but the American public would LOVE it. So, at a minimum, it's good P.R.

here's a wild idea. Maybe he should follow what the people who voted him in to do voted him in to do. And not live his life based on polls going up or down 1 point (or not).

maybe politicians who run their lives by polls, and the people who advocate for them based on polls, is exactly why we have the issues we do.
