That legislation was a travesty. The better course of action would have been to tweek our current system at the time.

I'm sure the people whose deductible is $10,000 are very, very thankful. They are expressing their thanks by staying away from "health care" because they can't afford it.

You're wrong. I think the collective action of stripping healthcare from 20M people ruins the inherent value of an individual who will die because of that decision. Even if that decision helps a small (<3%) of the population on the individual market without subsidies.
