Question about case numbers

Networks that constantly have the number of cases and deaths on the screen, do they lower the number if someone recovers? Or is that the number all of the people that have contracted the virus? I feel like if someone recovers they should take them off the list.

It's the running number of total cases so no they dont subtract.

To subtract the would have to be showing the active cases

If someone recovers from death, I think we’d hear about it... but that maybe not.
