A reminder of the Catholic position for a hundred years:
It is OK to be gay. It is a sin to do the gay sexual act. So, you can be a good gay Catholic if you abstain from messing with other men. I knew a gay Catholic in Lafayette who never committed the act. He even married a woman and they adopted a baby girl since he could not impregnate his wife.

Yes and no. He’s right in that all are invited to follow Jesus. Should he have been more clear that to do so is to turn away from sin and try to avoid sin?
