Due to the corporate requirements associated with a new European Union law (called GDPR, General Data Protection Regulation) that is about to go into effect, Rivals is blocking all traffic from EU countries.

It sounds like it’s the EUs fault not Rivals

That's an insult to the pigeons.

GDPR is a big fricking deal for every company. If your company isn't compliant then it is right to block all EU traffic until it is.

More over-reaction by the the EU. My wife is having to deal with this. All her clients are international. It's a pain in the arse.

You live in a progressive fascist mega state that regulates speech.

I don't know that there's much I can do to help you directly from this side of the pond, but here's some advice.

Repent and be baptized. Convert to Christianity and give proper due to the source of the blessings you've enjoyed. While you still are allowed to vote, vote for the likes of UKIP and Marie Le Pen. Your eastern european brethren have woken, the Italians have woken, there's no excuse for your slumber.

If millions of your fellow citizens wake up and do likewise, things may change for the better.

This was a business decision. These regulations have extremely strict and complicated requirements for handling user data, privacy, etc.,

Sounds like you need to talk to the EU. Willing to bet you're one of those who were against Brexit

quote:

you still want to access the site -- and we hope you do -- there is a way around the block if your personal info is not EU-based (e.g., credit card needs to be from the USA). You can use a VPN (virtual private network) service, which is basically a tunnel for internet traffic between your computer and another computer somewhere on the planet. This simulates like all your data is coming from that other computer instead of your actual location.
