Police Training

Found this video by Prager University. It does an excellent job of explaining and showing what police officers go through and experience. One black activist took police training and said his eyes had been open to a lot.
YouTube Prager U.
I will readily admit that Prager U. is a conservative organization. If you want to see some other eye opening and often funny videos on YouTube, type in Will Whitt-Prager University. he has some really good stuff.
Things are rarely as open and shut as way too many people like to portray.

Honestly, this is the truth.
The Overton Window has gotten shoved so far to the left on the issue that it’s dressed with a Mao suit like Hillary.
Even people who are brave enough to say they don’t agree with the BLM movement nonetheless feel compelled to add the statement, “But obviously we need police reform.”
The actual experts look at the data and say, well, show us what we can do and where we can make significant improvements.
You can nip and tuck it and make small successes, but those are really just in the realm of departments remaining diligent, nothing systemic.
The fact of the matter is that policing is a human institution which involves life and death consequences on split second decisions. There will always be tragedies and errors, but the data is unequivocal in that we had already made huge improvements in policing, and the error rate has been greatly reduced.
In the big picture, we don’t really have a policing problem, unless lack of police personnel is what we’re talking about.
We should be celebrating the achievements of those who have worked hard to get us to this place, instead we are tilting at windmills and tearing the word apart in search of dragons to slay.

Besides POST training, the LEO's I work with spend a cumulative two to three months each year conducting new/improved/refresher course training. They get a shitload of training.

I love to hear the silence when solid questions are asked.

I miss the days when you could pick up a newspaper or watch the news and get the news reported instead of being fed a steady stream of opinions that do not match
my values.

Most people don't fully grasp that they literally have seconds to make a decision that could save or end their lives. I enjoyed watching the video where the showed some of the actual scenarios they go through.
I hope more on this board will watch it. It's only about 5 minutes and could change a lot of perceptions.
