Philosophy for voting

My philosophy when voting - FOCUS ON THE ISSUES UNLESS GUILT IS ADMITTED. Never vote based on accusations against a candidate. Vote based on each candidates previous voting record or what they stand or kneel for.
If accusations are made against a candidate AND the candidate admits guilt, then include that information when voting, else ignore it.
Every citizen of this country deserves their day in court. EACH person is INNOCENT until proven guilty BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT. If accusations are made, then include the information AFTER a decision has been rendered in the court of law. IF no decision can be made prior to voting, then ignore it. The accuser should file charges well before the person began to campaign for office.
Remember, when the stakes are high some people will LIE. This could be the accuser, the accused, or sometimes both.
Remember, the candidate NOT being accused has their own skeletons in the closet. They have their own voting record that could be worse than the accusations being made.
If a crime has been committed a person should file charges as soon as possible. I understand that some people need time when it is a sexual crime; however, they risk allowing the perp to remain free if they wait too long.
When such a situation occurs, the accuser should understand that no one should believe their claims at face value until after a court has made a ruling.

Let's start with repealing the 17th and 19th amendments and then go from there.

I vote with my wallet, not my heart

My first major election as a voter was in 1992. Back then and for years after, I voted against Democrats because they were to the left of my beliefs.
Now I vote against them because they are bat shite crazy.
