She graduates with a degree in finance next semester in only four years (knock on wood) and has already accepted a six-figure salary.

A six figure salary right out of college? For finance? I didn't know finance that was that lucrative right out of college with only a bachelor's degree.

Excellent choice by forcing her to go somewhere other than UNT. Denton is a liberal cesspool and any kid I know that has gone there end up transforming into leftist trash. Couldn’t imagine paying to have my kid indoctrinated.

I've looking at the offer sheet which I can't share, but, yes, six figures. Just barely, but it is. That's before semi-annual performance bonuses. It's an East Coast securities firm and she'll be working with an International Monetary Funds team analyzing research for old money clients who have accounts all over the world. She attracted their attention because her grades are exceptional. She's made the President's List in 5 of the 6 semesters she's completed so far and the Dean of her college made a personal recommendation for her to be considered for the internship. The company awarded her with a competitive $10k bonus, while all of her other intern peers were awarded $1k or less in bonuses. They invited her in to meet with company execs when she was presented with the offer and accepted the offer. She's the only intern that was presented with an offer. Additionally, they are offering her up to $40k in reimbursement of her tuition and fees expenses to pursue her masters degree (of course, as a retainment inducement where she'd have to commit to 24 months of employment or pay it back in full). She would also receive a minimal bump in pay of $25k annually once she obtains that advanced degree.

But yes, you are right, the average fresh out of college kid with a bachelor's degree in Finance is going to come in somewhere around $60k-$75k, but her chosen field is in International Trade & Finance and she's had good career advice from her professors and the college dean.

And I just went down this deep rabbit hole.”

oh you mean rich privilege? Yeah that doesn't have a gender or a color besides green.
