Pentagon must be full of swamp, treating Vietnam vets/Rolling Thunder badly

Sorry if this has been posted but I haven’t seen it. This is a group of patriotic Americans who host a demonstration every MDW in DC to bring attention to POWs and MIA that our government left behind in Vietnam and all wars.
They keep raising costs to have the event, harass them, just make it bitter and as difficult as possible. POTUS has said he will help them.
Just disgraceful that the Pentagon is doing this to veterans. Disgraceful.

The Pentagon is fine. The DOD budget—as large as it is—is still tight enough that actual war fighting and modernization requirements fail to receive funding each year. They don’t need to subsidize a charity.
“All outside events pay fees to use the Pentagon Reservation. The fee includes costs for overtime for security and reimbursement for clean up after an event. Rolling Thunder, Inc. pays only a portion of the total costs incurred by the Pentagon to support the event.”
I support the event, but it shouldn’t be taxpayer subsidized.

Yea, well how will the Pentagon stop thousands of bikers riding into DC? Dont really need a permit for that.
Itll end up being a clusterfrick for DC if they dont reach an agreement.

The Pentagon supports the event...always has. They just want the costs incurred to be borne by the group, not the DOD budget.
