This is a big story, but I found this link and can't help but rotfl. So, being the government's bitch isn't going to stop them from spying and mistreating you?

It is actually pretty disturbing regardless of our political views. Seems like this malware is able to be received on our phones without us clicking anything. It then allows location tracking.

The Israeli company that created this, it isn’t a private company. All of the information will get fed back to Jerusalem.
It’s a really clever idea.
They’re actually using their clients. Israel doesn’t know who to track in Mexico, but the Mexican government does.
A lot of this information won’t be directly useful, but they can sell it. Or trade it.

Unless you've gone through some work to protect your privacy you are probably already being tracked.
The only reason we are hearing about this is because journalists have been targeted. They don't care when it is happening to you.
Here's another fresh example. Something like this comes out each week.

If big tech has this capability, imagine what governments are doing.
