Introduction is step one in teaching. And no I do not believe that you were joking.

School boards have been allowed the freedom to change curriculum without question for a long time. It is time to remind these school board members that we are the ones that have given them that freedom. And we will take it back.

The challenge is for every person to get two others involved and to talk about what school boards are doing in your location. Which individual board members voted for what. And promote other people running when it is appropriate.
