Step 1 - vote no on spending. Shut down government. Get called grandma killers and raked over the coals by “moderates” in the base
Step 2 - capitulate and get raked over the coals by conservatives.
Step 3 - campaign on “we’ll get em next time! Then wonder why they lose elections and why their base of conservatives and “moderates” didn’t vote for them.
