China will gobble them all up over time and consolidate power. Since most of those countries are governed by dictators it will be easy for the Chinese to install a straw man and deplete those nations resources while gaining large areas of the Earth. China is creating its own G7 of sorts but in a communist style cartel.

What would stop US from defaulting on huge Chinese Bill if dollar not accepted?
Think about the choice your asking countries to make: keep letting me rule the world because it'll be real shitty to change? Not much of a compelling argument IMO.

My goal if I was a foreign country would be A: nuclear weapons and B: get off the dollar as reserve currency.

They are a block of nations that can be self sufficient in their own group.

quote:Perhaps yes. Perhaps no. First off, that group counting India as the "I" in BRIC, probably needs to buy another vowel. If Brazil, Russia, China, and South Africa envision long term success in clique isolation, they are not in for a happy ending.

Putin is laughing at our sanctions. America is so weak right now.
Your boy Putin defaulted on foreign debt

And has handed the west irrational inflation.
"Russia's economy will be broken in 2 months after the sanctions"? guess who.
We have no baby food, $5.00 gas and our 401(k's) are down six figures.
Remind me again who put sanctions on who?
Btw, has the corrupt media spoke of how Biden just stole money from every day citizens in Afghanistan?
If you dont think they will do this to you.....
How about Fauci knowing people in Africa were catching the virus as soon as 4 months after the vaccination. But never mentioned it once as he begged everyone to get it including little kids. This is your government. Do you yourself trust them?
Hard to blame other countries for not trying to align itself with China. Hell, Biden already has.

A basket of currencies would actually be better for the world (not us). It would help prevent currency manipulation and also prevent one country from dictating to the rest of the world.
I highly suggest reading the article linked.

You’re clearly letting your maga grievances cloud your judgement.
FYI, as BRICS is now a thing, you should know MAGA would eat BRICS alive

This is all about lining up future oil supplies for India and China. US has oil and can go it alone if need be. India and China cannot.

A basket of currencies would actually be better for the world
Huge combined economy!
Why don't we call said "basket currency" the Euro?
Brilliant? How many years before such a currency overtook the USD as the world reserve?
