Of course there are. Because I'm right. As usual.

Marines with a medical exemption from shaving for painful skin disorders must have their condition reexamined within 90 days, according to a new administrative order that comes after the initiation of a broader Pentagon review on grooming standards. The Marine directive, issued Thursday, also said troops diagnosed with the skin condition known as pseudofolliculitis barbae could be separated from the service if grooming exceptions are needed beyond one year. Under such a scenario, a Marine “may be considered for administrative separation due to incompatibility with Service,” the order stated.

He gonna start making all the SEALs and green beret types start shaving too?
They claim it’s to blend in with the local population or get you more respect from the elders but we all know that’s mostly bullshite and it’s a recruiting and retention tool.

It's kind of amusing how this topic is such a microcosm for who some of you really are.

he absolutely should, in my opinion. there's no reason that SEALS or any spec-ops community should have relaxed grooming standards when it isnt directly related to the mission.

Nah.
If you're offended, you know exactly what I'm talking about. If you aren't, you don't need to worry about it.

In a memo released late Wednesday, Hegseth ordered Darin Selnick, the man who is performing the duties of under secretary of defense for personnel and readiness, to review "existing standards set by the Military Departments pertaining to physical fitness, body composition, and grooming, which includes but is not limited to beards."
Pentagon spokesman John Ullyot, in a rare statement, went after weight standards while also personally attacking the former chairman of the Joint Chiefs, Gen. Mark Milley.
"Unfortunately, the U.S. military's high standards on body composition and other metrics eroded in recent years, particularly during the tenure of former Joint Chiefs Chairman Mark Milley, who set a bad example from the top through his own personal corpulence," Ullyot said in a statement provided to Military.com on Thursday.
