Nick Saban is catholic. For many years the majority of catholics voted for democrats.
It wasn't until the 1990s that A small majority of catholics voted for Republicans.

I don't know how he votes but I know he has made disparaging comments on how the Democrats have hurt the coal industry and a lot of the working people associated with it.
