When will they learn?

The NFL and a group of players reached an agreement in principle late Wednesday night to partner on a plan to address social justice issues considered important to African-American communities, ESPN has learned.
The unprecedented agreement calls for the league to contribute $89 million over seven years to projects dealing with criminal justice reform, law enforcement/community relations and education.

The NFL used to be a man's sport.

Good on them. You dont need to target the weak and scared to have a successful business. Looking forward to Sunday.

Aren't you involved with the military? You are calling a lot of them weak and scared.

After today's tweets I think its time for Americans with a brain to make a choice.

Furthermore, anyone still equating kneeling during the national anthem with disrespecting the military needs to toughen up. Its pathetic.

The only thing laughable these days is the utter cowardice of conservatives accepting and supporting Trump's behavior as our President.
To think that the same people are outraged over a silent protest of kneeling is truly pathetic.

Why yes, when you're heavily biased you tend to see everything in dramatic extremes

$0.50 of every $175 nosebleed seat ticket sold will go to some nebulous fund to help pro football do the job of little black children's parents for them.
I know good when I see it, that's for sure.

Suicide by a thousand self inflicted cuts.

Our President is an absolute embarrassment to us all. This isn't an exaggeration or an extreme. There are 21 year old frat boys with more composure and grace. At the end of the day... You have to live with yourself. Remember what you accepted.

It's no big deal. They'll hire a bunch of community agitators and nothing will change. The NFL is paying so the players take their protests elsewhere

Do the tweets need to stop? Absolutely. But to sit here and act like the world and country are on fire is laughable. Nobody's life is materially worse or better since november 2016.

Only this will further invigorate the idiot players and lead to more protesting. The NFL just essentially gave the screaming kid in Walmart the toy they wanted and now that kid has learned they will get what they want if they whine enough.

I agree. It’s time to move.

The same people shitting their pants over a silent kneeling protest have zero problem (and in fact celebrate) the President making an absolute arse of himself daily. Cowardice.

What are you doing about it?

Calling it out for what it is and counting the days until i can express my outrage at the polls. Meanwhile, most of you here are enjoying it and find time to cry about football players kneeling.

Actually, considering around 70% of Americans thought the kneeling distasteful, there are A LOT of people who both dislike trump and dislike the kneeling.
You don't seem to be capable of nuance.
Again, though, what would somebody who lives in the bubble that is NOLA know about the median american's views on key issues?
Hell, you gave hillary cunninlingus on here daily.
