What are you talking about? Do you think Jeff Schultz pays for coffee at Starbucks? What law exactly would be broken?
Jeff Schultz is not, nor will he ever be president so the analogy makes no sense.
And no he cant get "comped" rooms. As a matter of fact any gifts given to the president during his term are part of the national archives and he can only obtain them personally if he pays market value upon leaving office (unless its china and you are Hillary, then you just try and steal it).
