While it's embarrassing that it's been exposed, I have no problem with the premise that we invested more into Ukraine- a former part of the USSR, on the Russian border, in Central Europe- than we did in Syria or any other Middle Eastern country. It's a pretty solid intel coup.

Anybody remember that Russia was the country that told us to watch out for the Tsarnaev brothers before the Boston marathon bombing.
