You are correct mostly, but are over-complicating it.
There were no women's sports up until recent history. All you have to do is look up the reason why women's sports were created in the first place, and that will tell you why it's so crazy to be ok with MTFTG competing at a high level in any sport. "Feelings" had nothing to do with why women's sports were created.
