So she’s is saying that the Cherokee Nation is racist against themselves? All because they won’t claim a blond haired, blue eyed pasty white woman who has less than half the amount of Native American blood than the average European American?

So full blooded Cherokee Indians, and the original native people to this land, cannot culturally dictate their own set of beliefs and customs?
The left is constantly trying to change the oldest standards of rule and law in this country from the Constitution to Native American people.
I cannot wrap my head around how people think it is remotely acceptable behavior. It's reprehensible and should be immediately destroyed at its origin.
Someone needs to come up with a name for this kind of new age left group think similar to the Stockholm Syndrome.

I have a really good friend who is a Lumbee tribe member. I've known him for about 10 years and just assumed he was black.
I just learned about a year and a half ago that he's Lumbee, not that it matters.

Could be a Cherokee Freedman...
Most people don't know some Cherokee owned slaves until a treaty in 1866... Some of the freed slaves were recognized as part of the Cherokee Nation and then much later were stripped of their recognition, then reinstated... Some DNA testing was utilized to deny tribal recognition...
