What was that? Iraqi tanks rolling into Kuwait? And the coalition stopping at the border and not taking Baghdad when they had the chance?

I'll be that guy; "freedom" and "democracy" aren't compatible.

In an earlier thread, the subject was about how the media and government brainwash through language. "Democracy" is one of those words.

Anywho, as to the rest of your post, I agree that the ignorance in our society is what allows government to get away w/ so much lying and destruction.

I have two cousins that were there during OIF in Baghdad when we actually did finally take the city. One has the most badass picture of himself with other Marines holding up the Iraqi flag while on the roof of one of Saddam's presidential palaces that they had just taken.

Both were also on the frontlines when we took Fallujah.
