he became RNC chair because Obama had just been elected president. The RNC actually thought that having a black chair would make some sort of in roads into young voter and minority communities. He has never been a true conservative. I can remember while he was the chair talking about how racist certain parts of Maryland are claiming 10% of whites in Maryland were racist.

Never knew this 'Michael Steele was RNC chair... unbelievable. Might as well nominated Donna Brazille for the function.

It is a good fact to use to remind yourself whenever you think the GOP is worth a shite.
