So, why is it that Tennessee can get a Bill Hagerty, Kentucky a Rand Paul & Thomas Massie, Louisiana a John Kennedy, and Alabama elects a Katie Britt?

for U.S. Senate? While he did not make a hard commit on 10 years, he suggested that time frame when he was campaigning for his first run for U.S. House and that time period is approaching.

While he has done a fairly decent job in his first term, Tuberville has had his share of gaffes. Britt won, but we all know she is a lobbyist at heart, as is her husband.

Gary Palmer is Alabama's most conservative elected Rep in DC. Seems like he could take on one of these and win. He'd probably only serve one term, two at the very most. Just not sure that he wants to stay in DC that long.

Any thoughts or insight?

Palmer is all bark no bite. He says the right stuff when interviewed but not huge fan.

Tuberville has been great. Silly comments aside.

Britt was installed because she's little Shelby.

Pass on Palmer.

Why would anyone go from Senate to Gov?

Because you actually have to work as a Senator. Tuberville is fricking lazy

I don’t think Palmer is gunning for Senate even though he’d make a great Senator.

Steve Marshall has been rumored to run for Governor but he might challenge Tuberville instead. Battle should be our next Governor but it’s Ainsworth’s to lose unfortunately.

It’s GD joke that Kay Ivey will have served over ten years as governor. No other politician in the country could go silent for weeks and not have to answer for it but somehow the voters & media in Alabama keep giving her a pass.

Slow your roll on John Kennedy. He's a smart guy (Rhodes Scholar) who only does the one line insult bit.....entertaining but he really doesn't portray as all that smart. Entertaining, yes but he doesn't show substance.

Rand Paul is principled
Hagerty likes to show off his smarts
Massie is meh....he's loved on this board but like Kennedy does not bring much to the table.

As I posted above, Palmer has voted against increased spending during both DEM and GOP administrations. So, I would say just the opposite. The other Alabama elected officials in DC talk a lot and then vote for more spending. The only exceptions have been Gary Palmer, Mo Brooks and at times, Jeff Sessions.

Had not heard that one. I was thinking he might run for Lt Gov knowing that Gov is Ainsworths to lose. I would vote for Tuberville over Marshall and not have to think about it twice. Not that I think Tuberville would be the best choice, I just think everything Marshall does in life is driven by his political ambitions.

You lost all credibility with that comment. We need about 100 more Thomas Massies in the U.S. House.
