Mark Steyn is an overall great guy

Never mind that he has a hilarious (and accurate) take on politics.... besides standing in for Rush and the occasional appearance on Tucker Carlson, he can sing too: LINK. I don't think Michael Bublé needs to worry, but he seems to enjoy getting out there and doing it (as opposed to singing in the shower like everybody else).
The guy just seems to enjoy life and dances to his own drum. He's very clever and articulate, has a broad range of interests. He also puts on an annual cruise to Alaska. I love listening to the guy.

I've read two of his books. It's interesting to get a non-US view of the US. Some takeaways from a foreigner:
1. Nov. election followed by Jan. inauguration takes way too long to change administrations. It leaves the outgoing side too much time for mischief.
2. America is the only country in the world with strong freedom of speech. And it may be on the way out here.
3. Canada is not a monarchy but the Queen of England is still technically the Queen of Canada. They've just never bothered to change that old law.
