Yeah the reveal of just how deep in the globalist tank they are thanks to the advent of Trump has been quite disheartening to say the least

The Bushes are the absolute epitome of RINO NWO Globalists.

I wrote G.Dubyah off as a cuck where he swore his post presidential allegiance to Slick Willie.

LBJ was also awful, but he is getting outside the 50 year window and he wasn't near as bad as nixon.

Two questions:

1. What was so bad about Watergate that would make it worse than the shenanigans we have seen in the last 20 years (from both parties)?

2. If you take Watergate away from Nixon's administration, what would be the reasons to downgrade him?

I didn't like LBJ and unlike many was around to remember both JFK and LBJ. I do hold the Great Society against LBJ. It was a social disaster that haunts us to this day with abled body people not wanting to work when they can stay home and make more welfare babies. That said, near the end of LBJ's presidency his folks had the basic deal on the table to get us out of Vietnam. Nixon's camp caught wind of this and was afraid that if the war ended on LBJ's watch, Humphrey might get elected President instead. His group told the South Vietnamese to step away from the table and they would get a better deal with him as President. During his first term, Nixon increased the bombing and used Vietnam to get his second term. The deal for the exit from Vietnam was essentially the same as what LBJ had on the table. LBJ could have blown Nixon out of the water for treason in 68, but wouldn't. He really didn't campaign that vigorously for HHH either.

Really makes you wonder - and i hate to admit I even thought about it - but has GWB's work with the veterans come as trying to make amends for his shitty intel on Iraq?

He always struck me as very likeable but the thought crossed my mind. Like he's trying to repent.

Keep in mind we didn't have much to choose from in those elections. First was Bush vs Gore "whore" and second was Bush vs Kerry. We voted for W because the alternatives were not acceptable.

Nothing in the last 20 years is even close to watergate, although trump-russia could be worse. I think it comes down to trusting gov't and our institutions. It completely re-shaped the way we view gov't and I believe we are worse off for it.

Well watergate is a pretty big deal. Its sorta like if I am a good friend, help you move, fix your car, provide emotional support but one day I take a giant shite in the middle of your living room. Am I still a good friend?

Anyway... a few sabotaging vietnam peace talks, Shitty vietnam policy, wage / price controls

He had some huge wins, but watergate will forever taint him.

Absolutely catastrophic from a social standpoint. Especially for minorities. Did more long term harm to the demographic than Jim Crow ever could
