What we’re looking at tonight
1. The coast. Reeves turned out huge numbers there in the primary.
2. Rankin & Madison. Expect Reeves to win both, but how much of the “anti-Reeves” vote will come back out for Hood?
3. DeSoto County: There was a big focus on it during the primaries, and Foster helped create more buzz. But with no big contested local races and no big rallies there this time, what will it do?
4. Hinds and the Delta: Central district races for public service and transportation commissioner have African American Democratic nominees. Will it drive more votes for Hood?
5. Turnout. Conventional wisdom says the larger the turnout, the better for Reeves.

Not unusual. Go to neighboring Maryland where, in one county (Montgomery), all liquor stores are run by the county government. At a loss, of course!
