Well, I'm not sure I agree with this...but I'd 100% agree to this solution than be ruled over by the current tyrannical left wing government. Much like my desired "divorce" and it's lack of a logistical framework, I'm not quite sure how we get those that are interested in ruling over the rest of us to loosen up federal control. I mean, it's less interesting to lord power over a populace that wants to be ruled, right? But if given a choice, I'm totally willing to give your idea try. In nothing else, call it a "trial separation" to stay with the divorce analogy.

Yeah see, that's the problem. Far too many on the left DON'T. Think back to some of the first inklings of this in the late 80's with Jesse Jackson out in Stanford (Or Berkley, I forget) chanting "Hey Hey Ho Ho, Western Civ has got to go!" That was seen as craziness by most at the time, but is now the working framework for most of America. A quick glance at even The Smithsonian's webpage shows that we no longer share this thing. This lack of a desired shared history was why I asked what I did after all.
