It seems like she is less concerned that her son is compiling a dossier of dirt on his classmates and more that her son is white.
This is the classic progressive thought process. They only pretend to abhor oppressive behaviors when they’re carried out by white people. They actually cheer for oppression (because they feel guilty like they deserve it), and just want to make sure their oppressors are diverse.
