Been wondering, back when MTG, Gatez, etc were trying to see the J6rs, were t they denied some too? Did they try to barrel their way in? And where were the Dems when it came to getting them their right to go in and visit them??

Republican Reps. Matt Gaetz (Fla.), Majorie Taylor Greene (Ga.) and Louie Gohmert (Texas) on Thursday were turned away from the D.C. Department of Corrections where they tried to visit accused Jan. 6 rioters.
Video shows officers, who said the group was trespassing and “obstructing entrance into this facility,” denying the trio entry.
“The supervisor came down and was standing right here and turned her back on me. The other one said she won’t talk anymore and that we’re trespassers,” Gohmert said in comments to the press after the situation.
ETA: I had looked that up a couple days ago because I asked myself the same question. Luckily, I'm terrible at closing tabs so I had at my finger tips, so to speak.

Thx. So they were treated and handled the same way and Dems had no problem with it. Did the article say any of the repubs tried to fight their way thru by hitting officers, and if they did, their White privilege got them away with it?

They spoke through the fence. They didn't go in and the officials didn't open the gate and come out.
They were told they were trespassing standing outside fence and if they had to be escorted off they would be arrested for trespassing and obstruction so they moved off property and held a press conference.

One very glaring thing about this whole situation that would have solved the entire problem: If they love these illegal folks so much and want to be with them so badly, let them in there and when they get next to a cell taze them and throw them in with the muchacho's . They can live happily ever after with them then.

Not sure why my post got dv'd, but essentially what I was remembering. So repubs should definitely be pointing this out to the Dems to remind them.
