Agree 100% but all indications thus far is that Richards will be doing the closing. He is good on facts but not very persuasive.

Just the other day the judge said he has cut lawyers off midsentence and now he says they can go for 8 hours if they want.

I didn't watch, but this is just further revelation this has been in the bag for the State the entire time. Judge has been really mean to the State in short, loud, demonstrable spurts, then let everything they want in. He dumped the misdemeanor, but not any felonies. He threatened mistrial, but is going to give it to the jury. If they convict, he will NOT overturn it. If the jury hangs, he will NOT declare the mistrial with prejudice.
The only real win possibility for Kyle is to get a full acquittal by the jury, and the "lesser included" bullshite will probably give them an out, even though it doesn't make a lick of fricking sense. If the jury convicts him on "lesser included", the judge won't touch that, either.
The only recourse is the court of appeals and not knowing what is required to preserve issues on appeal, I'm not certain the defense team did enough, frankly, to prevail at higher levels.
If any felony convictions come down, they will stand at the trial level and Kyle needs an entirely new team going forward, IMHO.

Prosecution objects seconds after the defense starts their closing arguments....that was what Kyle's defense should have been doing when Backdoor Binger was giving the prosecution's closing arguments.
