I would get in while the getting is good. The IRS is talking like the want to shut this "loophole" down. In order to take a charitable contribution, you can't receive anything of value except for de minimus stuff like love and good feelings. Getting a 9500 tax credit in exchange for the donation doesn't look like a donation if we are being honest.
Also, if this does take off, like it very well could, once JBE and his gang see the state income tax revenues fall off a cliff, you can bet they will put a stop to this with the quickness.

I agree 100%.
It is crazy BUT I am going to do it and go it quick for 2018.
Do you think the IRS would change this before the end of 2018??? I guess I should wait till late December to make the contribution.
