Powerman are you claiming you work around the construction industry, routinely know the birth places of all the employees, and that most job sites are 100% US citizens?
While simultaneously of the belief that deporting illegals would cause irreconcilable damage to the construction industry? Is this where we are?
Why are we pretending it’s not highly likely that a large construction site of Latinos has illegals? Why? ICE, the people that know where to find illegals, tell us themselves:
“conducts raids that primarily target industries and jobs with a high concentration of undocumented immigrant labor, including agriculture, construction, food processing, hospitality, and meat/poultry processing. Its worksite raids are often concentrated in sectors where immigrants make up a significant portion of the workforce”
Hello, ICE, I know everything in the universe suggests that there are illegals over here, but I just don’t know for sure… should I tackle them when they get off work and ask them where they were born or should I just let you guys handle this? I wouldn’t want to call without definitive proof.

A company I worked for got bought out, and the new owners didn’t want anyone illegal working there for fear of financial penalties. We had about 8 Mexicans who had worked there a long time, and the audit determined that all but one were of legal status.

I can tell you right now where 90% of illegals are in S Mississippi and S Alabama, I can tell you where they work and where they live. I know many of them because they work for prominent connected wealthy white Republicans.
