quote:

THE AMBASSADOR ANSWERED US THAT IT WAS FOUNDED ON THE LAWS OF THEIR PROPHET, THAT IT WAS WRITTEN IN THEIR KORAN, THAT ALL NATIONS WHO SHOULD NOT HAVE ACKNOWLEDGED THEIR AUTHORITY WERE SINNERS, THAT IT WAS THEIR RIGHT AND DUTY TO MAKE WAR UPON THEM WHEREVER THEY COULD BE FOUND, AND TO MAKE SLAVES OF ALL THEY COULD TAKE AS PRISONERS, AND THAT EVERY MUSSELMAN WHO SHOULD BE SLAIN IN BATTLE WAS SURE TO GO TO PARADISE.”

Adams understood force could change their Muslim behavior but nothing would change their Muslim belief they had a right and a duty to make war on the Infidels.

It appears Adams was right then and now, obviously.

B HUSSEIN Obama is gonna be PISSED!!

Expanded past just the "Turks" with our founders. Thomas Jefferson and the newly formed Marines kicked Muslim butt all over North African for their piracy and slavery instead of paying a bribe to allow US ships into the Mediterranean.
