Jane Elliott 1992

anyone familiar with her work?

interesting exercise and the comments from audience...

28 years later, observing our current political climate, my thought is... we still have 73% of black children born out of wedlock...yet in our cultural war, we are trying to change white's attitudes towards black culture, and police behavior and magically improve the income gap among races...it all defies logic, and practical things that create real change...it makes my brain hurt...

Colin Kap starts a kneeling revolution against police and our flag over an event that didn't happen like he thought it did, ... literally Mike Brown tried to kill an officer with his weapon... no one should have rioted over his blood...

In conclusion, we will not be able to move forward having less racism or improve race relations until the out of wedlock stat comes way down...which will address all the other troubles happening today

change my mind

Yeah, that's kind of like going fishing and throwing the rod and reel in the water while holding the lure.

It’s not about racism.

It’s not about police.

It’s not about black people.

It’s about overthrowing the systems that make up the USA.

Jane Elliott is a teacher who spent her entire life working in a town that was 99% White in Iowa. She devised this shitty experiment to make a juvenile point for her students. She never went or did anything to actually help any blacks anywhere. She then made her money playing her parlor trick for 30 years. Her premise is obvious and is a shallow understanding of ethnic identity, history, biology, and psychology.

frick Her!

Ethnic groups have coexisted and fought each other for thousands of years, and the amount of bastards produced in a culture has only a minor effect on this. Although I agree that it produces a stronger culture.

I'm a blue-eyed devil.

I've given up any hope that we will all get along. What we want is too different.

Talent is absolutely not distributed evenly. Anybody who has ever watched the NBA or the Olympics knows this, or should know this.

I'm ready to be left the frick alone to work hard and live in peace.

interesting...

I wondered if she ever taught in a rough neighborhood with all blacks

I've been in those school multiply times....security people on every hallway....and we're talking middle school...

it's jacked up....

fatherless children are to be feared....the only one they respect is the football coach ....maybe one or 2 tough women...the rest, the mow over them...not much gets taught, it's a big baby sitting routine, just trying to get through the day....

sad reality

So feeding half the guests and making the other half wait for two hours ina lobby is supposed to be a racism experiment? I’d be pissed too.

I have to admit I enjoyed the part where she confronts the Swedish woman talking about how super great and enlightened Sweden is by asking her why her country did nothing while the Nazis murdered millions of people.
