Dorsey, who has built up a net worth of $7.5 billion, will sink $3 million from his nonprofit into the program, according to the announcement. The UBI program comes shortly after Dorsey's widely publicized pledge to donate $1 billion to coronavirus relief efforts.

Surely this time free handouts will encourage people to work hard, be industrious, and contribute to the American workforce in a meaningful way.

As long as it’s privately funded and voluntary, knock yourself out.

But we all know that’s not the goal.

Isn’t that called “charity” if someone donates money to a cause? I have no problem if people want to donate but don’t mandate tax increases to fund it.

Universal basic income with 3 million. I can already tell Dorsey it’s failed out of the gate because your experiment won’t be universal at all.
