The but is, Trump could be a devastating political dirty bomb if he's not careful. Trump could destroy all the hard fought political ground that was gained in the 2016 GE and allow the Prog/Dims to gain the upper hand in the 2018 midterms and beyond. The tide had firmly turned for a conservative/libertarian future in the US after Trump won the 2016 GE but he may be on the verge of squandering the opportunity that was given to him by the millions of concerned Americans that voted for him.

The POTUS laid out a very specific agenda when he spoke during his campaign for the presidency and now he's beginning to soften on many of his campaign positions to placate the Swamp dwellers. This Omnibus bill is a glaring example. The funding of Planned Parenthood is a non starter for many conservatives and libertarians, nothing in the bill addresses runaway entitlements, addresses future legislation for a balanced budget amendment, leverages a solution for illegal immigration, etc. Basically it's out of control spending and we's tapped out y'all!

People, there's over 2200 pages in that bill and there ain't one damn Swamper who has read it because all they're worried about is the BS they added to the bill for their homeys/lobbyist/state.

Mr. Trump, you should have vetoed the bill just to show the Swamp it's not gonna be the status quo y'all have been used to. You should have said, "Bring me the money for my fricking wall, let's take care of our soldiers and show me some reform on entitlements and then we can start having a serious conversation".

What if the increase in military spending is used to build the wall by the Army Corps?

I remember a debate or town hall w Trump when he was asked by a member if the audience what are the main things government should be responsible for. Trump said military, housing, healthcare, and education. He's been a big government supporter from the start.

This should surprise no one.

Odds that actually happened...not good. You know why I say that? I remember a question and answer session Trump had early in his campaign. He was asked what the main things government should be responsible for and he said, "The Military, and protection of the Constitution and individual rights." Someone asked him.."What about housing, healthcare, and education?" He said "Get that Commie assbag outta here."
