Trump's obsession with celebrities has always been sorta lame but it's also what helped him build his brand into what it was.
If he would actually pardon worthwhile people like Snowden and Assange I wouldn't care what he did with all these lame rappers.

These pardons were obviously Kushner's idea and Trump just went along with it. I doubt Trump even knows who they are.
