Yeah,probably had a shotgun and pistol ready,thinking that made most sense for a home invasion,but this was a different situation than anything he had foreseen.He knew he likely needed more than the shotgun or pistol,and still did what he had to do.
Myself, I keep all weapons loaded,spare mags full.

Same here.
My AR isn’t my home defense weapon but it always has a loaded mag in it. I don’t have it chambered but it’s ready.
This guy will spend the rest of his life wondering if he could have saved more people had he had a mag loaded. Sad.

He shouldn't beat himself up on that. He did what he could to help his town.
