If there is one theme to the SCOTUS rulings these days...

...it's a return to Jeffersonian republicanism.
It's a reeling in of powers that have been abdicated to both the Executive and Judicial branches, neither of which have any appreciable accountability or restraint.
(The "Executive" here refers to the Byzantine bureaucracy that even Trump did very little to rein in. I don't know exactly what Department Secretaries or other top political appointees do, but the only one I have seen do anything to actually dig into operations is Louis DeJoy.)
It's easy for Congress to just avoid the hard stuff and let the other branches run with the ball, especially with how Congress has become infested with social media whores.
If SCOTUS basically says nothing gets done without Congress making it happen, then it could be that a LOT less gets done. Doesn't mean that what does get done is any better, but at least there will be less overreach by unelected and unaccountable mandarins.

Let it be so.

He tried.
But he was not prepared for the reality.
Guarantee you he has a list of 10's of thousands of unelected swamp critters that will be terminated Day One of his 3rd time as our elected President.

Bumping my own thread because the EPA ruling is one more example.
If the GOP had any leadership at all, they’d be all over the place refuting that these rulings have anything to do with abortion or pollution, and are simply SCOTUS telling Congress to do their damn jobs.
