Hispanics don't have a hand in that. Mexicans clean the toilets and sell the drugs in the region.

I lived in both states
Actually Mexicans in the most part are middle class

Their story is very much like the Irish and Italians they will always have their criminal element especially in more recent immigrants

Then the states that were formally next to the borderland states would now be the new boarderland states.

Do u know how the Silicon Valley was created

Through a private university in Palo Alto

In Austin a lot of the technology comes from
a state university in the University of Texas

You are missing the point the US needs California and Texas more than those states need the US

Funny thing is Louisiana might be the first state to leave the US and join

Then the trend would prevail and the next row of states would be taken over by Mexico until the interior West is gone for good.

Especially Oklahoma

Oklahoma is so dependent on Texas that anything Texas does Oklahoma will follow

Louisiana not as much but the thing with Louisiana
is that every day their dependence on Texas is becoming greater

Mexicans are not much different than the people
of Oklahoma
Being both places have a huge population of people who are European and Native mix

My great grandmother from Elk City was half Commache and was older than the state of Oklahoma when she passed away

Do you know that all US military assets were purchased by and currently owned by the United States Government?

This government is not going to leave this capability to another, plain and simple.

The new nation/s are free to fund and develop their own tech, they may surpass the US at some point due to advantages you mention. This makes me uneasy that this would cause serious tensions down the road.

I'm not picking sides, I'm just answering your question and straight up telling you no gov gives up its advantages without a fight, they especially would not allow the potential threats this could cause them. It is not how the world works

And if you think the US needs them more than they need the US this only hurts your argument that the US would give up these military advantages.

They both need each other to be what the US currently is, both would be offered what they are missing in the split by opposing world powers. They US gov knows this

There are endless examples throughout history of major conflicts that seemed easily avoidable. That will be no different in the future, with this being one of them

Secession is a pipe dream. It just isn't gonna happen

1) 4.5 million votes in California went to trump. They will not want to leave. If cali did would the state split like Virginia

2) does cali have enough elec power within the state? No. What about water? No. What about natural gas? No. Look to Europe and see the power Russia has just with the the natural gas.

3) how do u divide up the 19 trillion in debt

4) how do you divide up the military assets?

5) what about federal land?

I truthfully say join all the Americas together

No matter where you live on either continent there is a connection between all of us

Actually Argentina and Uruguay are more White European than the US or Canada

Today it is

There was a famous professor at UNM who preached this and was fired because of his ideas

If a factor changes and that is the power of Mexico then it might become a reality faster than many can see right now

At the core of Mexican insecurity is the Mexican War

Actually the way the US claimed Texas and California is being reversed

The thing is as someone who has family who originated from Michoacan Mexico plus Texas and California not to mention Colorado

I see myself first as a person of the Southwest
Not the US

I have nothing in common with people from New York or Massachusetts

The sad reality is nothing lasts forever. Not the current US as it is, not Russia, China, or any other nation as they exist today.

The US has been a drop in the bucket on the earths timeline compared to the height of the Roman Empire, or even the British Empire.

If you are at the breaking point I'm sure more will join the cause eventually (on both sides). Whether tomorrow, 100 years from now, or 500 years from now it will happen.
If you are ready to get started see what you can do I guess. Until then I wish you and every American nothing but the best and hope we can ride this as long as we can. Just remember it always ends bloody to a point, it's never sunshine and rainbows. The bloodshed happens because it means that much to both sides, but human nature is what it is. One day after both may end being happier where they end up

By bloodshed I don't necessarily mean world war or major conflict. Could be something more simple like what happened with the Soviet collapse/split with skirmishes between Russia and Baltic states along with competing international influence on the different governments. There will be violence though on some level as both sides compete for influence and resources

I do not want to sound paranoid but if you study major wars throughout history involving multiple parties not just WWI and WWII

There are a lot of similarities between right now and those situations

The breakup of the US will ultimately because of war and because of siding with the U.K. and Israel

I think if it were to happen it will be due to changing demographics and different ideals that come with it, plus the sheer size and diversity of the landmass and how differently people live within the one country regardless of demographics.

The ways things are have to have a reason, inckuding the size of current nations around the world. The truly large ones outside the US don't have as much diversity (Russia/china). Even Europe, Africa, South America, and Asia outside of those 2 (which have fairly similar demographics amongst themselves) have a breaking point in size of territory that can be united under one government.

IMO

quote:

Everyone has allies and enemies, everyone. If we reversed our allies then it would just do the same with our enemies. If you want to blame WWIII on our alliances with U.K. And Israel why not blame Russia and China for their alliances with North Korea and Iran? Is Russia not at war right now?

We are currently closer with Israel, UK, and South Korea politically and ideologically than their counterparts. If we make it a point to bring in people likely on a different page through immigration then eventually maybe we won't be, and there will be a growing divide.

Oklahoma has sole possession of the oil and natural gas in the state (Chesapeake and Devon Energy companies). Louisiana Gulf oil is monopolized by Texas oil companies because TX does not want Louisiana to receive revenues, which is probably due to politics and demographics.

I would say Louisiana is in far worse shape than Oklahoma, especially when you consider the demographic situation in Louisiana and the fertility rates. Oklahoma has English Only laws and is extremely strict on illegal immigration, especially since Mexican drug runners tend to target Native American reservations for methamphetamine to exploit that populations' dire situation.

Louisiana isn't seeing much of the Gulf oil wealth because of TX, and the state is extremely dependent on tourism in New Orleans, which doesn't look promising when crime and demographic transitions are factored into the equation.

Both Russia and China have like over 60
Different ethnicities
China is even worse than Russia because of the language differences
I think Mandarian may be taught now throughout the country but there are huge language divides in this country

Out of the Big 6 countries
Canada
US
Brazil
India
China
Russia

The US has a common language, common culture and truthfully very few divisions between the ethic groups.

The other 5 with Brasil coming next and India as the worst have a lot of problems with the lack of a common culture throughout unlike the US

Canada is getting better but still especially in the Praire provinces there is an Anti Quebec and French speaking Canada segment of the population

On I 44 going North from Wichita Falls into the Lawton Fort Sill area do you sense a difference once you cross the Red River. I sure don't.
Same thing with I-40 and I-35
I know for sure with I-40 only difference really is that is becomes greener but not with the people not culture
My grandmother's sister my great aunt lives in Sayre just outside of Elk City
The difference between the people of Sayre Oklahoma and the people of the Texas panhandle is zero
As most of the people there have relations in both states and going into New Mexico and Kansas

I lived in Denton and up towards Krum and Ponder
Used to spend time in Pottsboro which is right on
Lake Texhoma
Same thing as most of the people there have families on either side of the Red River
