Simply because you protectionists dont believe in free market capitalism and are afraid of it.
You’re want the US to move away from its partial command economy towards a true free market
In the meantime you support immigration to fill holes, yet you do not understand how this changes the political landscape and makes your preferred rolling back of state power option increasingly smaller
I’m only continuing to argue with you because I’m amused, because it could not be more clear to me it’s impossible to get through to you. But hopefully others can read what some of us are saying and some things will click.

Yes, I do.
Successful white people are not breeding. You dont have much of a choice here.
Bring select workers in, or offshore production.

Part of this is ideology. Which is increasingly poisoned by the political landscape
Part of it is cost of living has made people feel that having a child is unaffordable.
Why has cost of living become unaffordable? Well wages have stagnated in proportion to inflation.
Guess what plays a huge factor in keeping those wages down? Imported cheap foreign labor

Which is very dumb, poor people are breeding.
Income is inverse to breeding rates.

Because the state covers their essential expenses.
When did this come about? Oh yeah, in the 60s with the civil rights and immigration reforms

Why is it then that the higher the income, the lower the rate of breeding?
You would think educated rich people would be having kids eh?

This decreasing relationship between fertility and income is well known to economists and demographers alike. In addition, it holds true over time: Rich countries, such as the U.S., have experienced a remarkable decline in their fertility rate as they became rich. Also, the relationship holds at the individual level, as rich families tend to have fewer children than poor families.

E Pluribus, Pauciores (Out of Many, Fewer): Diversity and Birth Rates
quote:
Abstract
In the United States, local measures of racial and ethnic diversity are robustly associated with lower birth rates. A one standard deviation decrease in racial concentration (having people of many different races nearby) or increase in racial isolation (being from a numerically smaller race in that area) is associated with 0.064 and 0.044 fewer children, respectively, after controlling for many other drivers of birth rates. Racial isolation effects hold within an area and year, suggesting that they are not just proxies for omitted local characteristics. This pattern holds for many racial groups, is present in different vintages of the US census data (including before the Civil War), and holds internationally. Diversity is associated with lower marriage rates and marrying later. These patterns are related to homophily (the tendency to marry people of the same race), as the effects are stronger in races that intermarry less and vary with sex differences in intermarriage. The rise in racial diversity in the US since 1970 explains between 20% and 44% of the decline in birth rates during that period, depending on methodology.

Crazy how none of these other harder working, smarter cultures can hold a fricking candle to us.
Maybe they should try being lazier, they might actually create something.

Big picture that some of us can see clearly while others can't see it even when spelled out for them.

Or have Americans start breeding again.
Economic growth occurs two ways. Expanding the workforce or creating innovation.
Its the innovation, not the workforce driving economic prosperity. We literally just need warm bodies.
