Are you still pretending you served Monty?

That's why you hate me, Tate.

You hate me because I don't look up to losers like Tate. You're weak. That's why you're drawn to fake tough guys.

I'm no tough guy. I sat on my arse and waited BUT we weren't being attacked either. I didn't like the way that war was being fought BUT when the draft notice came I answered. That was 1969. I'd most definitely do whatever I could if we be attacked.

It was happening well before then.
In May of 2020, DoD legal explicitly stated that having a MAGA hat violated DoD Directive 1344.10 but BLM merchandise did not; even after being told that they were funded by Act Blue their response was that supporting Democrat candidates does not violate the directive because it doesn't explicitly name the candidate even though it only funded Democrats. At that point anyone calling them out was threatened with UCMJ action.

...and you think that's the first occurrence of DOD being politicized?

No, but it is the first occurrence in which it was open about it. They didn't even try to deny it. Remember Lloyd Austin's extremism stand down?

So you're cool with it as long as they're quiet about it? I don't really see your point here.

There's a difference between suspecting something is happening and having actual proof.
Serving a hyper-partisan administration is different than actually choosing a side.

I think you're letting some folks off too easy with this take. They were picking sides before 2020, too.

Individuals within, yes, but it became official policy in May 2020.

I never served under Biden Enlisted when Clinton and retired under Obama.
Your reasoning is a valid concern about why someone should or shouldn't enlist. But that has no bearing on a foreign attack at all.
And I'd be lying if I didn't miss the heckbout of some parts of it every single day.
ETA--Now I never got the "privilege" of having females on my Abrams tank crew nor my platoon. And as a 1SG, not in my armor company.
I didn't want the headache so I submitted retirement paperwork. I was too "old Army" to want to deal with having to figure out how to field sanitation would go on a 4 man tank crew.
Our field and deployment showers were to throw a pallet by the back deck, put a 5 gal water jug on its side on the back deck. Then 4 dudes on the pallet taking turns getting under the water spout.

Also..I remember the guy that was in Chicago bn...a guy named J Kohnen. Infantry.
Posted on 4/5/24 at 11:36 am to El Segundo Guy
Either he was before my time or in another Company. I commanded Downers Grove.

Got ya. I knew him and deployed with him once. I think he left Chicago and went to the Dark Side. Romeo if you know what I mean.
