ICE visits Delta Downs

VINTON, La. (KPLC) - Federal immigration agents conducted an investigation at Delta Downs early Tuesday morning.

Louisiana State Police and the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed they assisted with the investigation but could not provide details.

CPSO officials said a few deputies from the Calcasieu Combined Anti-Drug Task Force helped federal agents search for drugs.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations provided the following statement:


“For operational security reasons and the safety of our law enforcement personnel, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations does not confirm or discuss ongoing operations. When appropriate, the agency publicly announces the results of operations through our Newsroom on the ICE.gov website.”
